The Beauty of Mom

Every year around the middle of spring it becomes glaringly obvious that moms are special. Of course, most of us already know this but sometimes it is a nice reminder. There are so many ideas to help us make the perfect gift selection, letting mom know exactly how much we love her. Some of you may decide to go with flowers, candy or even dinner out. These are all great ideas, yet they don’t last for very long. As a mother I can truly say some of my most precious gifts are the ones that I keep. The ones that remind me often how loved I am. I have a beautiful cross I wear that my husband bought for me. It reminds me daily that I am blessed. I have a heart shaped note that my daughter made for me that I keep in my current reading material. And of course I have framed images of my children laughing and joyous adorning my walls. These are the gifts that I love.

For this mother’s day I have quite a few options that might assist you in creating that perfect gift.

A single glamour session could be used for yourself if you’re a mom, your mother, your sister or any other mom you wish to bestow a lovely experience to. Each Beautiful Me session involves a dedicated two hours of dressing up, pampering, and glamour photography portrait session. This type of session is sometimes too good for only one and it’s easy to add on a best friend, sister, mother, or daughter. A single Beautiful Me session is $150. Click here for more details.

Sometimes a mom’s greatest joy is having her whole family together. I have quite a few families that ask me to photograph their ever changing family once a year. Recently I took family portraits where the “kids” were adults; two in the military, and this was one of the few times that their entire family was together. The mom even mentioned to me last week how much they are still enjoying those photographs.

Finally, what about a romantic husband & wife session? When was the last time the two of you had a special photograph taken? If you say wedding, well I think this is the perfect time to remedy that! This could be only a small part of a very romantic evening: Dinner, happy hour, movie and a romantic photographic session just for the two of you. I’m pretty sure she will remember it forever, especially if you order prints!
