Creating a Simple Marketing Mini Billboard

Last week while recovering from the flu I spent a bit of time on Pinterest. While on there I came across this really simple idea that I am a little shocked I hadn’t thought of. It was a tutorial to create unique phone cases using scrap paper. I already had all the parts: iphone, scrapbook paper and the clear case, all I had to do was put it all together. It literally took me 5 minutes. I pried the case off my phone and used it to trace the paper. I cut it out, including the little hole where the camera is at. Then I pressed the paper back into the case and put my phone back in. The interesting thing is both of my kids mentioned that I got a new case. Nope! I just used some scrap paper to enhance a clear case.

Then my marketing brain came on. What if I could print out one of my photos with my logo and contact information? Would that work? I opened my designing software and measured out the area I would need for the phone; 2.5 x 5 (I have an iPhone 5C). I was able to bring in my favorite photograph, logo and contact information. I laid it all out the way I wanted it and printed it on my own printer. I really like to use Staples matte white brochure and flyer printer paper although I wasn’t sure it was thin enough. It actually worked very well. Here is the final result. The great thing is, if I get bored I can print out a new one any time I’d like.
