In three more days, when I go to upload new photos to my computer it will have a new numbered folder: 2015. I am eager for this addition to my computer. Each year and month I add is the visual cataloguing of all that I have experienced. I can easily trace back my family's activities and growth as well as my business's activities and growth. It all functions very much like a visual diary and I greatly appreciate its existence. As we come to a close on 2014 I like to use this blog to reminisce about the adventures I have had. This was a very exciting year for me with the addition of the AA Creative Corridor to my workload. Here are the photographic highlights of Ariniko, Ariniko Artistry and AA Creative Corridor:

Natural Shots: Throughout the year we had many opportunities to use my camera to take nature shots. In my off hours this is one of my favorite things to do. From exquisite rainbows to new parks to accidental morning fog, I enjoyed the peaceful capture of nature's beauty.

During the summer we had quite a few rainbow sightings. One in particular produced one of the strongest colored rainbows I had ever seen.

The Crazy Geeks with Cameras took a walk on the river trail in Old Town. Our goal was to create some photos using light painting. This is the technique of leaving the shutter open in the dark while running around with light sources. While we waited for dark, I was able to find a mom duck with three ducklings.

Crego Park recently reopened to the public and I took my twins in to explore.

Festivals: For many years now I have created, coordinated or participated in many festivals in the Lansing Area. This year was no different. I was photographic coordinator for TEDxLansing and The Capital City Film Festival. I also was asked to take photographs of The Capital City Dragon Boat Races. On my own time I attended the Harris Nature Center Winter Festival, Fenner Applebutter Festival, REO Town Beerfest, Art Attack and Silverbells.

City Pulse Shots: In July I began writing small write ups for the Lansing City Pulse. These were weekly (sometimes) 100 word pieces with accompanying photographs. The subject was to cover and event that had taken place in the Lansing Area the week before publication. I greatly enjoy adding this to my workload as it gets me out into the community again much like City Saunter did.

Adventures: I was fortunate enough to get a few breaks last year. These mini vacations include and camping trip to Traverse City, an overnight to Holland, Michigan. I was also able to arrange a walk through the old Blind School building with my Crazy Geeks with Cameras group. Some low key adventures were my attempts to photograph a frozen bubble and light painting photography.

Ariniko Artistry Favorites: Of course I have some of my favorites from the year which include personal photos of my children, and friends.
